Dr. Will Tunison grew up on a small farm just outside of Valdosta, where he spent much of his time around animals and developed an early interest in veterinary medicine. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Economics from Mercer University before going on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Tunison enjoys all aspects of companion animal practice but has a particular interest in surgery, especially orthopedic procedures, and helping pets recover and return to comfortable, active lives. He also enjoys internal medicine and working with pet owners on preventive care to keep their animals healthy throughout every stage of life. Dr. Tunison enjoys caring for animals of all kinds but has a particular soft spot for Labrador Retrievers.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tunison enjoys spending time with his fiancée Boyd, family, friends, and two cats. He also enjoys spending time outdoors golfing, camping, and hiking, and following college football—especially the Georgia Bulldogs.
